Senior Purchase Executive

Role & responsibilities

Position Overview:

• Plays a crucial role in the procurement process by effectively managing inquiries, sourcing products, researching potential vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of purchased goods. The role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate various online platforms to fulfill client requirements.

Handle Requisitions:

• Responsible for promptly addressing and managing requisition requests of spares providing the accurate and relevant information regarding the requested products.

Product Sourcing, Research & Navigation:

• Conducts thorough research and navigation on various online platforms to identify suitable products that meet client requirements. They stay updated on the latest market trends and source products from reliable vendors.

Research Potential Vendors:

• In order to expand the vendor network and explore new opportunities, researches potential vendors based on different factors such as brand reputation, location (domestic or international), and product availability.

Vendor Development:

• Actively engages in vendor development activities, establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure a smooth procurement process. They evaluate vendor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

Compare and Evaluate Offers:

• Compares and evaluates offers from different suppliers, considering factors such as price, quantity, quality, and delivery conditions. They analyze the options to make informed decisions and select the best available offers.

Timely Follow-up with Vendors:

• To ensure effective communication and timely delivery, engages in regular follow-up with
  vendors via phone calls or emails. They track the progress of orders and address any issues or delays promptly.

Negotiate Prices and Contracts:

• When necessary, negotiates prices and contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms
  and conditions for the organization. They strive to achieve cost savings without compromising on product quality.

Share Updated Quotations:

• Shares updated quotations received from vendors with the team, ensuring that the pricing/condition/quantity information is accurately communicated for further action.

Preferred candidate profile

• Should have strong communication due to international email and calls.
• Should have decent MS Office/Computer skills.
• Should have strong sourcing skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Should understand reading drawings and datasheets/ordering guides.
• Product knowledge of Automation,Hydraulic products.
• Familiarity with International Purchasing and E-commerce platforms.
