Executive - Occupational, Health & Safety

Job Purpose

To Support Senior Manager OHS by ensuring that the Health & Occupational Safety Policy & Systems are implemented, maintained and its performance reported to AVP Aviation Safety together with any recommendations for improvement.

The overall scope would encompass OHS - Building Safety, Construction Safety & Food Safety.

Role & responsibilities

1) Ensure that Health & occupational Safety standards are applied across the organization (Landside, Terminal, Airside, etc) including all the stake holders & customers/passengers

2) Carryout Risk assessments on Health and occupational Safety aspects as per international standards.

3) Established procedures on communication of relevant health and occupational safety matters between the various internal levels and functions of the organization.

4) Support (ISO 45001 :2018) audits on Health & occupational safety. Follow up on all audit observation/non-conformance till closure.

5) Ensure that relevant documents are available where required and all such documents remain legible and readily identifiable.

Evaluation of Compliance

1) Ensure Health & Safety legislation and other associated requirements are monitored on a regular basis with relevant internal departments

2) Check compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and other requirements.

Ensure that records of this compliance review are compiled & maintained by respective department.

Monitoring

1) Review objectives and targets periodically and amended or updated as necessary and appropriate to set OHS goals as per schedule.

2) Ensure that all the works at the airport are carried out as per Health & occupational Safety standards and as per MOWP.

Perform Surprise safety inspections and Audits and submit the report.

Investigation

1) Carryout detailed investigations pertaining to incidents on health & occupational safety and support Senior Manager OHS

2) Identify the root cause and initiate necessary follow up action to prevent recurrence.

3) Communicate the lessons learnt in a de-identified manner to all concerned.

Promotion

1) Ensure that necessary promotional activities on Health & occupational safety are carried out on a periodic basis at site level and support Senior Manager OHS at organisational level

Ensure that the required trainings on Health & occupational safety are conducted at site level

Preferred candidate profile

• 6 to 8 years of experience in Health & occupational Safety at middle level management levels.
• Technical Graduate / Technical Diploma/ (3 years Full Time)- Electrical, Mechanical or Civil.
• Formal completion of Health & Occupational Safety recognized by State / Central Govt ADIS with one paper construction safety as Elective.
• NEBOSH IGC - 3.
• Experience in working in multifunctional organization involving different domains as Safety Officer is preferred viz. Metro Projects, Airport Projects & preferably with terminal operations safety experience.
