Process Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Analyse existing machining processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and quality
• Develop and implement process improvements, tooling modifications, and equipment upgrades to enhance machining capabilities
• Provide technical expertise in CNC programming, tool selection, and machining techniques to optimize cycle times and reduce scrap rates
• Collaborate with machinists and operators to troubleshoot programming issues and optimize machine setups
• Establish and implement quality control standards and procedures for machining processes
• Conduct process validations, capability studies, and root cause analyses to address quality issues and ensure compliance with specifications
• Maintain accurate documentation of machining processes, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and engineering drawings
• Provide training and technical support to machinists, operators, and engineering teams on new processes, equipment, and technologies

Preferred candidate profile

• Proven experience in machining processes and process engineering, with 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining, tooling design, and manufacturing processes
• Knowledge in CAD/CAM software is an added advantage.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
