Job Description
Organization Overview:
Agratas is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons. We design, develop and manufacture high-quality, high-performance, sustainable batteries applied to multiple use cases in the mobility and energy sectors, to match our customers requirements.
Position Overview:
This role will be part of the global (India & UK) process engineering team accountable for setting up the gigafactory in India to produce cells as per technical specifications.
We are looking to fill roles in the areas listed below, with all roles requiring a mix of process and plant design with strong engineering principles:
- Technology Transfer
- Scaleup from Pilot Scale to Commercial Scale
- Process Development & Design
- Equipment Design & Testing
- Process Control & Standards
- Energy & Utility Requirement Study
- Statistical Process Control
- Industry 4.0
- Conversant with local/global EHS (Environmental, Health, Safety) standards
Responsibilities:
- Lead and Execute process engineering activities following applicable standards and procedures meeting the project objective, budget, and timeline.
- Build strong relationships and work closely with leadership teams to ensure that delivery meets the needs of stakeholders.
- Develop and take ownership for the accuracy of detailed calculations, process engineering specifications and drawings meeting the process engineering requirements.
- Closely working with Technology Partner while developing the plant design and layout.
- Making RFQs with detailed technical specifications meeting the intend design objectives.
- Equipment supplier selection.
- Closely reviewing the designs of supplier and track the progress and design objective.
- To develop test protocols and conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) & SAT (Site Acceptance Test) and document the findings and results.
- Install the line and commission meeting the timelines.
- Demonstrate the statistical process control meeting the performance guarantees and technical specifications of the product.
- Develop, promote, and maintain a safety culture to deliver excellent health and safety performance that meet targets on allocated projects.
- Support planning activities with key stakeholders to define the projects, including input to financial and resource planning.
- Ensure application of specifications and standards as required.
- Ensure appropriate monitoring and controlling of projects performance and provide timely and accurate data reporting.
- Make timely decisions to ensure project success.
- Manage and resolve any risks and other issues that may arise.
- Manage communications with stakeholders, project team members and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance as required.
- Evaluate and implement lessons learned and continuous improvement.
Qualifications / Experiences:
Bachelor s / Master s degree in Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
Must have minimum 5 to 12+ years of experience for as per position requirement.
Must be experienced in process design of greenfield or major brownfield projects for Li Ion cell manufacturing / Automotive / FMCG / Packaging Machines/Semi-Conductor Industries.
Must be experienced in technical specification writeups, supplier selection, evaluating TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), conducting FAT & SAT, Line Commissioning meeting the project objectives.
Knowledge of Utilities, Health, and Safety
Experience of working in Multi National & Multi- Cultural Environment
Knowledge of lean manufacturing
A track record of leading multi-disciplinary project teams to enable successful delivery, through direct and indirect management.
Experience of working in a fast-paced business and project environment.
Skills:
Excellent stakeholder management (internal and external) ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships, and to work positively and credibly with a wide range of individuals and groups involved in the project from management, other stakeholders, project team members, suppliers and third-party stakeholders.
Strong project planning, budgeting, management and control skills.
The flexibility and adaptability to be able to respond rapidly to unexpected events, and the ability to develop creative solutions to problems.
Strong leadership capabilities with excellent execution skills and the ability to multitask
Able to challenge existing thinking in a positive way whilst building credibility and trust through experience and personal style.
A dynamic and determined individual, highly driven, committed and results-orientated with significant pace, energy and confidence.
