Our client a Tier 1 law firm in Mumbai is seeking a Head Talent Acquisition to join the team. The ideal candidate will have over 14-16 years of progressive experience in talent acquisition. They will be responsible for developing and executing talent acquisition strategies to attract, engage, and retain top legal talent. This role will require a deep understanding of legal HR practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies to meet the legal department's hiring needs.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing requirements and develop job descriptions.
- Source and attract top legal talent through various channels, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and industry events.
- Conduct thorough interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' qualifications, skills, and fit with the organization.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and screening to offer negotiation and onboarding.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and legal regulations related to talent acquisition and employment law.
- Analyze recruitment metrics and data to identify areas for improvement and optimize hiring processes.
- Lead and mentor a team of 4 legal HR talent acquisition professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure that recruitment practices comply with relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Human Resources
- 14+ years of experience in talent acquisition, with some focus on professional services recruitment.
- Proven track record of success in sourcing and attracting top legal talent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience leading and developing a team.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
