Mould Design / Tool Room Manager

Role & responsibilities:

Outline the day-to-day responsibilities for this role.

• Lead and manage a team of mould designers for manufacture of thermoforming moulds for 2, 3 and 4 station high speed automatic thermoforming machines.
• Responsible for planning selection of raw material based on mold design.
• Responsible for optimizing mold cost based on product requirement by aligning Machine type and mold design.
• Lead and manage the Tool Room operations with its planning, materials, machines and people.
• Assembly of molds , all components and all stations
• Responsible for achieving quality of end thermoformed product,
• Responsible for trial with new molds.
• Should have full knowledge on running of all general purpose machines and specialized machines like VMC, SPARK EROSION, WIRECUT, EDM ETC.
• Keeping up to date with thermoforming machines and mold technologies
