procurement Sourcing Analyst

Role & responsibilities

Ÿ Analyze historical spend data and define short- and long-term spend optimization opportunities

Ÿ Build relationships with and earn the trust of business stakeholders to manage sourcing events on their behalf

Ÿ Articulate the value of Sourcing and early Procurement engagement with stakeholders

Ÿ Build and maintain a roadmap of sourcing events based on spend analysis, stakeholder demand, and business priorities / impact

Ÿ Build RFx material for each event (including spec development, selection criteria, supplier list)

Ÿ Run sourcing events to completion including negotiations, award, and contracting if applicable

Ÿ Evaluate bids and proposals from vendors in accordance with established policies

Ÿ Negotiate favorable pricing, payment, and other contractual terms with vendors

Ÿ Manage key supplier relationships and develop preferred vendor sources for frequently used goods or services

Ÿ Maintain appropriate supporting documentation for all sourcing events

Ÿ Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Sourcing and Procurement in identifying and implementing process improvements

Ÿ Assist with ad hoc projects and perform other duties as assigned

Ÿ Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset; analyze process using data and propose improvements that will result in efficiency, customer satisfaction, and cost savings

Preferred candidate profile

Ÿ 5-7 years of experience in a sourcing related role, supporting global operations, for a company with annual revenues of at least $50 million experience in a technology company desirable

Ÿ Ability to successfully build relationships and deliver results virtually, across time zones, and with global stakeholders

Ÿ Thorough understanding of Spend Analysis, Sourcing, and Source-to-Pay principles, processes, and procedures

Ÿ Experience differentiating cost savings and cost avoidance, and experience calculating both as applicable

Ÿ Experience successfully supporting senior level business stakeholders to build and run sourcing events, including managing internal expectations, setting and meeting timelines, and negotiating with suppliers

Ÿ Hands-on experience with structured Sourcing Methodology (e.g. A.T. Kearney 7 Step Process)

Ÿ Experience with and ability to articulate and plan different negotiating strategies based on business and market conditions

Ÿ Hands on experience successfully utilizing Sourcing Tools

Ÿ Experience with vendor/supplier management including vendor/supplier risk management

Ÿ Hands-on experience with Jira and/or ServiceNow for Project Intake and workflow through PR

Ÿ Track record for meeting deadlines

Ÿ Familiarity with the application of internal controls in a purchasing context

Ÿ Demonstrated understanding of how to use data to improve process

Ÿ Service oriented with a collaborative approach toward problem-solving

Ÿ Proficient using PowerBI, Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications

Ÿ Hands on experience using NetSuite or similar ERP applications

Ÿ Experience defining spend categories and subcategories
