What Your Responsibilities Will Be

• You will contribute to the month-end close process to prepare timely, accurate financial data that is in compliance with US GAAP and Avalara accounting policies.
• Accurately performing global account reconciliations, summarize activity, and resolve reconciling differences appropriately along with highlighting open and aged items.
• Perform accounting and control procedures related to a variety of areas, such as fixed assets, intangible assets, prepaid assets, and other areas, as necessary.
• Review financial statement fluctuations and prepare detailed supporting schedules.
• You will be preparing the requested audit documentation and analysis.
• Assist in fielding inquiries by researching and interpreting data, identifying risk and opportunities of the processes.
• Performing intercompany accounting for both foreign and domestic entities.
• Collaborate with different functional teams across the globe to standardize accounting processes/ policies and actively contribute to a disciplined financial statement close,
• You will be reporting to Senior Manager

What You'll Need to be Successful

• Chartered Accountant or MBA.
• Ideal background from SaaS industry
• You should have 4+ years of intermediate accounting experience
• Experience with accounting under US GAAP is must
• Experience with internal controls and SOX compliance
• Experience with NetSuite (preferred) or other large ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
• Highly proficient analyzing data in Microsoft Excel.
• Hands on knowledge in using Alteryx and PowerBI, or similar, and experience driving process automation
• Experience with Kyriba treasury management system, or similar.
