UX Designer

• As a UX Designer at Avalara, you will help shape the user experience across our product suite
• You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other designers to create intuitive, user-friendly designs that for our users
• You should understand user-centered design principles, experience solving user challenges, high-quality designs
• You will be reporting to Sr Manager UX Design

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

• Lead the design process from concept to delivery, including research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design
• Collaborate with teams to define solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience
• Conduct user research and usability testing to iterate and refine designs based on user feedback and our requirements
• Create design documentation, including user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
• Mentor junior designers, sharing best practices and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new techniques and tools into the design process
• What You'll Need to be Successful

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in UX design, with a portfolio showcasing your design process and final deliverables
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar
• Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing
• Experience with user-centered design principles and best practices
• A Bachelor's or Masters degree in Design (preferably from IDC, NID) Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
