Software Development Engineer

• As a Senior Integration Engineer, you will design, developing integrations between Avalara and Oracle applications
• You will be asked to have a background in integrating business applications using multiple integration tools, with additional experience in ERP systems being a significant advantage

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

• Experienced in using multiple integration technologies and frameworks
• Design integration solutions using JavaScript
• Collaborate with teams to gather and analyze integration requirements
• Develop and consume REST and SOAP APIs to facilitate system communication
• Ensure the and reliability of integration solutions
• Promptly troubleshoot and resolve integration issues
• Document integration processes and solutions for future reference and team collaboration
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards
• Proficient in JavaScript, with knowledge of TypeScript being an added advantage
• experience with REST and SOAP APIs
• Familiarity with JSON and XML data formats
• Understand of authentication mechanisms such as OAuth and JWT
• Ability to work with version control systems (eg, Git)
• Experience reviewing code to find and address potential issues and defects
• Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners

Qualification

• Total Experience: 5+ years
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Experience deploying code in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments
• Experience deploying code in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments
• Experience in API development using NodeJS, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• Previous experience in a similar integration role
• Experience building and consuming Restful APIs
• Certification in relevant integration technologies
• Adept with Agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles
• create technical documentation for APIs ( eg Swagger) and components
