Automation Engineer - JMeter/LoadRunner (5-7 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the development and maintenance of robust automated test suites. You will collaborate closely with software developers, AI engineers, and other stakeholders to implement and optimize automated testing strategies across our web and mobile applications, as well as our cloud-based platform. -

Responsibilities :

Test Automation Development :

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications using industry-standard frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or similar tools.

- Design and implement reusable test automation frameworks and libraries to enhance efficiency and maintainability.

- Create and execute automated test cases for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

Collaboration and Integration :

- Collaborate with software developers and AI engineers to understand software requirements and design effective test scenarios.

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) to enable continuous testing and rapid feedback.

- Work closely with the development team to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects.

Performance and Scalability Testing :

- Design and execute performance, scalability, and reliability tests to evaluate the performance of our cloud-based platform under varying load conditions.

- Analyze performance test results and provide recommendations for optimization.

- Utilize tools such as Jmeter, Loadrunner, or similar for performance testing.

Test Documentation and Reporting :

- Document test procedures, test cases, and test results in a clear and concise manner.

- Generate comprehensive test reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation.

Continuous Improvement :

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in test automation, software testing, and quality assurance.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing processes and technology stack.

- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the reliability and scalability of our applications.

Defect Management :

- Analyze test results, identify defects, and report them using defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira).

- Work closely with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

- Proven experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts using Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or similar frameworks.

- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).

- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).

- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Experience with API testing (Rest Assured, Postman etc.)

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with mobile testing frameworks.

- Experience with cloud-based testing platforms.

- Knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts.

- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
