iSteer - Automation Engineer - Node.js Scripting (5-7 yrs)

We are seeking a talented and experienced Node.js Scripting Automation Engineer to join our team in the Unified Communication Push-to-Talk (PTT) domain.

- As a Node. js Scripting Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining Node. js scripts and applications that support our Unified Communication PTT platform.

Responsibilities :

- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases for Node. js applications in the PTT domain.

- Design and execute functional, integration, and regression tests to verify the accuracy and reliability of Node.js application features.

- Perform thorough testing of the user interface, APIs, and other components of Node. js applications.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, product managers, and system engineers, to understand requirements and translate them into efficient and scalable Node.js framework solutions.

- Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing Node.js scripts and applications, ensuring their stability and performance.

- Collaborate with the DevOps team to deploy and manage Node.js applications in production environments.

- Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in Node. js and related technologies, bringing in new ideas and best practices to improve our development processes.

- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.

Requirements :

Mandatory :

- Proven experience in developing server-side applications using Node.js.

- Strong knowledge of JavaScript and asynchronous programming concepts.

- Experience with Express.js or other Node.js frameworks.

- Experience in functional and integration testing of Node.js applications using testing frameworks like Mocha, Jest, or Jasmine.

- Familiarity with Unified Communication PTT protocols and standards (e.g, SIP, WebRTC).

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

- Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment processes.

- Understanding of Agile development methodologies.

Desirable :

- Experience with testing tools such as Selenium, JMeter, Loadrunner, Spectra, Media simulators.

- Experience with test automation frameworks such as PyTest, Selenium, Appium,

- Proficient in using Git for version control and collaboration.

- Experience with database systems (e.g, MongoDB, MySQL) and SQL queries.

- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g Docker) and microservices architecture.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's / masters degree in Computer Science.

- At least 5+ years of experience in node.js scripting and testing applications
