Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our pharmaceutical manufacturing plant. The Maintenance Engineer will ensure minimal downtime, optimize equipment performance, and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory standards. The person will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of equipments like filling, filtration, sterilizer, cartooning machine etc…. within the plant. Good understanding of automation systems, PLCs, SCADA, and other process control technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and carry out scheduled preventive maintenance on all plant equipment, systems, and machinery to ensure maximum reliability and longevity.
• Perform regular calibration of critical equipment and optimize machinery performance, ensuring efficiency and compliance with GMP standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, calibration logs, and equipment servicing history, in accordance with GMP, regulatory, and internal requirements.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with safety standards and regulations, minimizing risks to personnel and ensuring the plant operates in a safe environment.
• Provide support during equipment breakdowns, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and avoid production disruptions.
• Familiarity with GMP, SOPs, and other regulatory standards in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Work closely with production teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and resolve equipment-related issues to avoid impact on production timelines.
• Assist in training plant personnel on proper equipment operation, safety procedures, and routine maintenance tasks.
• Monitor stock levels of critical spare parts and materials, ensuring timely ordering and availability to avoid production delays.
• Participate in plant upgrade projects, including URS, FAT visit, equipment installation, commissioning, and optimization efforts, as well as ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or bachelors degree in mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
• Proven experience (4-7 years) as a Maintenance Engineer in a sterile pharmaceutical plant.

Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with production teams, management, and vendors.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, shifts.
