Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans and budgets.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial forecasts and reports.
- Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators.
Financial Operations:
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Manage the accounting cycle, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage the payroll process, including tax deductions and statutory compliance.
Taxation and Compliance:
- Ensure timely filing of tax returns and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Manage tax audits and assessments.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
Risk Management:
- Identify and assess financial risks, implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and minimize fraud.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
- Provide insightful analysis and recommendations based on financial data.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, board members, and external auditors.
- Communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA) with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience.
Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance, preferably in the development sector.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards (GAAP/Ind AS).
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, etc.
- Knowledge of tax laws and regulations, particularly Income Tax Act and TDS provisions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA).
