Officer-Purchase (Mechanical commodity)

Roles and responsibilities

1. Handling complete production related material procurement & supplies.
2. To ensure accurate and timely vendor schedule release.
3. Regular vendor follow-ups and visits for timely vendor production and dispatches to ensure ZERO-line stoppages.
4. Maintain right inventory levels across all materials to balance timely material availability and working capital involvement minimization
5. Defining vendor production lead time and production capacities and accordingly plan vendor schedules.
6. Coordinate with vendors to ensure the component availability and pricing trends are well factored into sourcing strategies
7. Handle end to end import operations of components including custom clearance and duty payments in coordination with CHAs and Finance team
8. Coordinate with production planning and sourcing to optimize buying plans
9. Negotiate with external vendors to secure the most advantageous terms
10. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
11. To establish long-term supply contracts and examine and re-evaluates existing contracts.
12. Discover the most profitable suppliers and initiate business partnerships.
13. Anticipate and avoid unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies.
14. Devise and employ fruitful sourcing strategies, finalize details of orders and deliveries.
