Your Role

As a Commercial & Business analyst you will make sure that the management receives high quality inputs, report it with accurate commercial and financial information. You will provide early warning signals, analyse deviations and develop and implement actions to support the operational goals and targets.

1. Accurate, relevant, and timely commercial, business and financial analysis on monthly basis
2. Analysis of customer contracts to ensure that all the commercial obligation are in line with internal practices or policies like credit policy, insurances, warranty periods, bank guarantees terms, export benefits and other key commercial aspects. Monitor progress, highlight deviation and commercial impact of the same.
3. Liaise with the project team to ensure that advances are collected in accordance with agreed contract terms.
4. Liaise with sourcing team on bank guarantees, payments terms, taxation matters for high value orders to suppliers.
5. Assist business controller in reviewing project margins, tracking project costs and understanding variances.
6. Analyse after-market customer purchase orders/service orders. Support AM business with monitoring and eliminating compliance risk relating to SEZ, GST, WHT related matters.
7. Support Business controller in monitoring cost development in P&L, identifying opportunities of cost savings and highlight major variations.
8. Developing new reports and processes to respond to business information needs.
9. Provide support to the operations to process bank guarantees, letter of credits, EMD, Indemnity bonds etc.
10. Support Business controller in CRM, monthly management reviews, yearly planning and divisional reports etc.
11. Support Business controller in monthly accounting, reporting, credit control and audit.
12. Co-ordination with holding legal, treasury, tax teams for timely resolution of operation requirements.
13. To support in digitisation of finance and business processes.
14. Be pro-active, making sure that red flags are highlighted, that action plans are in place whenever necessary
15. Ad hoc analysis as and when required based on needs of Business controller, BLM or GM.
16. Be familiar with The Way We Do Things and Business Code of Practice and apply in daily operations

Experience requirements
- 5-7 years of business and commercial analysis experience
- Significant experience in analysis, forecasting, reporting

- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships

- Fluency in English, spoken and written.
- Good analytical skills.
- Expert knowledge of MS-Excel and PowerPoint

- Expert knowledge of SAP - Project Systems, MM, SD and finance

Educational requirements

• Professional degree Chartered Accountant
• Good knowledge of local rules and Regulations & taxation
