Role Overview:
Astron Group is seeking a Chartered Accountant (CA) with experience in the oil & gas sector and exposure to foreign markets. The selected candidate will lead the finance and accounting function across the organization, managing financial reporting, tax planning, compliance, and audits. The role requires significant leadership experience, preferably within manufacturing or energy sectors, with expertise in handling cross-border financial operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of Astron Group’s growth journey toward IPO and other strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Finance:

1. Apply advanced accounting principles specific to the oil industry.
2. Oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, and financial functions related to manufacturing.
3. Ensure financial practices align with industry standards and company goals.

2. Audit Leadership:

• Internal Audit: Develop and execute comprehensive internal audit procedures to strengthen internal controls and enhance operational efficiency.
• Statutory Audit: Lead statutory audits and ensure compliance with laws and accounting standards. Ensure accurate and complete financial statements.

3. Financial Reporting Mastery:

• Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements to ensure precision and regulatory compliance.
• Execute financial reporting in line with established guidelines and corporate objectives.

4. Tax Planning and Compliance Expertise:

• Lead the team in ensuring compliance with tax laws, regulations, and GST rules.
• Provide expertise in tax planning and optimize strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
• Stay updated with tax laws to ensure proactive management of tax-related matters.

5. GST Advisory Leadership:

• Serve as a GST expert within the organization, providing guidance on compliance and optimization of GST strategies.

6. Financial Planning and Forecasting Leadership:

• Oversee the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure effective cash flow and working capital management.

7. Strategic Financial Guidance:

• Provide advice on financial matters, including mergers, acquisitions, investments, and strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with senior management to provide informed financial insights to support the organization’s goals.

8. Tax Litigation Leadership:

• Represent the organization in tax-related legal proceedings.
• Develop and implement strategies to resolve tax-related disputes.

9. ERP/SAP Proficiency:

• Lead the team in utilizing ERP/SAP systems for financial management and reporting.
• Optimize ERP/SAP systems to enhance operational efficiencies and meet organizational requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
1. Educational Qualification:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
• A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.

2. Experience:

• Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in finance and accounting roles, with a strong leadership background in the oil & gas or manufacturing sectors.
• Experience in foreign markets and international finance operations is highly preferred.

3. Industry Expertise:

• In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax laws, and GST regulations.
• Strong experience in managing audits (internal and statutory), tax planning, and compliance, particularly in the oil and gas or manufacturing sectors.

4. Technical Skills:

• Proficient in ERP/SAP systems for financial management and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in managing MIS reporting, income tax assessments, and GST.

5. Leadership Skills:

• Proven leadership experience managing teams, with the ability to guide, mentor, and develop talent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

6. Other Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic and evolving business environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the oil and gas sector with international exposure.
• Background in managing financial operations in Nifty 100 companies or equivalent organizations.
• Expertise in cross-border financial management, foreign currency transactions, and Indian and international taxation.
