Our state-of-the-art plant in Himmatnagar/Ahmedabad is looking to hire an experienced Plant Head to oversee production and operations.

Job Purpose:
The Plant Head will be responsible for managing the entire plant operations, ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, managing team performance, and driving the plant’s growth. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Ceramic and Material Engineering and possess leadership skills to optimize plant performance while maintaining safety, quality, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plant Operations Management:
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the ceramic production plant, including production scheduling, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
• Ensure continuous improvement of production efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining quality standards.
• Lead and implement manufacturing best practices in line with industry standards.

1. Production Planning & Control:
• Plan, organize, and monitor production processes to meet customer demands and delivery deadlines.
• Ensure that production goals are achieved while maintaining high levels of quality and safety.

1. Team Leadership & Management:
• Manage and mentor plant managers, supervisors, and other staff, ensuring clear communication, guidance, and training.
• Build and sustain a motivated team culture by fostering collaboration, accountability, and a focus on results.
• Conduct performance reviews, employee training, and development programs.

1. Quality Assurance & Compliance:
• Ensure all products meet industry standards and customer specifications, conducting regular quality audits.
• Develop and enforce plant safety standards in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Handle all quality-related complaints and implement corrective actions promptly.

1. Process Optimization:
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and waste elimination across production lines.
• Introduce advanced technologies and methods to improve production processes, efficiency, and product quality.

1. Budgeting & Cost Control:
• Develop and manage annual budgets for plant operations, including raw materials, labor, maintenance, and other expenses.
• Monitor plant performance against budgeted targets and take corrective actions when necessary.

1. Maintenance & Equipment Management:
• Oversee maintenance of production machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and extend lifespan.
• Ensure that plant equipment is updated and maintained as per required industry standards.

1. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):
• Ensure a safe working environment in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective measures for potential risks.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Ceramic Engineering, Material Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in manufacturing processes and leadership are a plus.

• Experience:
• At least 10-15 years of experience in plant management or operations in the ceramic manufacturing industry.
• Strong background in Ceramic and Material Engineering, with hands-on experience in production management, process optimization, and quality control.

• Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of ceramic production processes, materials, and equipment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a large team.
• Expertise in production planning, cost control, and resource management.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong understanding of safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements in manufacturing environments.
• Proficient in ERP systems, MS Office, and plant management software.

Preferred:

• Experience in handling international clients and supply chains.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Ability to drive innovation and implement new technologies in ceramic production.
