Job Description:

Astral Limited is seeking a Production Officer with hands-on experience in managing high-speed or semi-automatic machinery in a production environment. The ideal candidate should have a background in chemical, adhesives, FMCG, or pharmaceutical industries and be skilled in supervising production lines to ensure efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Production Supervision & Line Management:

• Oversee daily production activities and ensure smooth operations.
• Supervise and coordinate with machine operators and production staff.
• Monitor and manage high-speed & semi-automatic machinery.

🔹 Process Optimization & Efficiency:

• Ensure production targets are met with minimal downtime.
• Optimize workflow and reduce wastage while maintaining product quality.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing & 5S practices for efficiency.

🔹 Quality & Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to GMP, safety, and quality standards.
• Conduct routine checks to ensure compliance with production SOPs.
• Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) team for batch approvals.

🔹 Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

• Work closely with the maintenance team to minimize machine breakdowns.
• Identify and resolve minor operational issues on production lines.

🔹 Team Leadership & Coordination:

• Train and guide production workers on machine handling and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with different departments, including R&D, QC, and Maintenance.

Key Skills & Attributes:

✔ Experience in high-speed & semi-automatic machinery operations
✔ Strong knowledge of chemical, adhesives, FMCG, or pharma production processes
✔ Ability to supervise production lines & manage workers
✔ Understanding of GMP, safety, and industry compliance standards
✔ Problem-solving and team management skills

Qualifications:

🎓 B.Sc or M.Sc in Chemistry or related fields
📌 2-5 years of experience in a production environment
📌 Industry preference: Chemical, Adhesives, FMCG, or Pharma
