Job Summary:

We are looking for a Packing Executive to oversee and manage the packaging process for our food products. The role involves ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, optimizing packaging materials, and maintaining cost-effectiveness while preserving product quality and shelf life.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Food Packing Design:
• Develop and optimize packaging designs that align with branding and product requirements.
• Ensure packaging enhances the product's visual appeal and maintains freshness.
• Work with designers and vendors for innovative and sustainable packaging solutions.
2. Compliance with Food Packaging Regulations:
• Ensure all packaging meets FSSAI, FDA, and other regulatory requirements.
• Update packaging labels with the correct nutritional values, expiry dates, and other legal requirements.
• Maintain documentation for compliance audits.
3. Packaging Material Selection & Management:
• Identify and source cost-effective, food-grade, and eco-friendly packaging materials.
• Work closely with suppliers to maintain quality and stock levels.
• Test different packaging materials for durability, cost, and impact on product shelf life.
4. Shelf Life & Preservation:
• Conduct shelf-life studies to ensure the longevity and safety of food products.
• Collaborate with the food technologist to test the impact of packaging on product freshness.
• Implement techniques to enhance product preservation and minimize waste.
5. Cost Management & Optimization:
• Analyze packaging costs and suggest cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality.
• Optimize material usage to reduce wastage and improve efficiency.
• Work with procurement to negotiate better pricing for packaging materials.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Food Technology, Packaging Technology, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in food packaging, preferably in an FMCG or food production industry.
• Knowledge of packaging compliance and regulatory standards (FSSAI, FDA, HACCP).
• Experience with eco-friendly and sustainable packaging is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including marketing, procurement, and production.
