Library Attendant

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated Library Attendant to assist in the smooth functioning of the library. The role involves handling library resources, assisting patrons, and maintaining library decorum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in issuing, returning, and shelving books.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the library.
• Help students and faculty locate books and resources.
• Ensure books and materials are properly arranged as per cataloging.
• Monitor and report any missing or damaged books.
• Support the librarian in daily library operations.
• Handle basic administrative and clerical tasks related to the library.

Preferred candidate profile

Requirements:

• Minimum qualification: Bachelors degree.
• Experience in a similar role is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of library systems and book handling.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
