AutoCAD & BIM Draftsman MEP (JOB CODE : KSA-1515)

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or ITI/ Diploma or related field, providing a strong technical foundation.
• Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant work experience in mechanical drafting, showcasing a solid understanding of mechanical systems.
• Candidates having GCC region experience are preferred for familiarity with local market conditions.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD software, with a portfolio demonstrating past projects.
• Certification in AutoCAD or a similar drafting tool, highlighting a commitment to professional development.
• Experience in the construction industry, giving insight into practical application of designs.
• Ability to read and understand engineering schematics and technical specifications, ensuring effective communication.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy to minimize errors in technical drawings.
• A proactive and adaptable attitude, with a willingness to learn new technologies and tools.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed mechanical drawings and plans using AutoCAD software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
• Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and layouts for electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to interpret project requirements and translate them into precise technical drawings.
• Modify existing drawings based on feedback from project stakeholders or changes in project scope, ensuring timely updates.
• Conduct thorough checks and reviews of technical drawings to identify inconsistencies and potential design flaws.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals and estimates.
• Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including specifications, Bill of Materials (BOM), and reports.
• Stay updated with industry standards, codes, and best practices related to mechanical drafting and design.
• Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in MEP drafting.
• Maintain and update drawing files and databases.
