Planning Engineer - MEP

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the MEP project schedule, ensuring all activities are properly sequenced and resources are allocated effectively.
• Understand Work Scope, Quantities and familiar with logical sequences in terms of Engineering and Construction disciplines.
• Understand WBS and work with Management and Project Team in the development of Work Breakdown Structure for Progress Measurement, Scheduling, Cost Estimation and Project Control.
• Share the Project Plan in minute detail on Work Schedules with respective Site Management Staff so that they are aware of the Timelines and Budget for each and every work and advise them on corrective actions, wherever necessary.
• Develop and update Resource (Manpower and Equipment) Histogram Weekly.
• Evaluate allocation of Resources and provide recommendations to maintain Progress.
• Develop Plan versus Actual Progress Charts (Histograms/S Curves). Analyses C report Deviations from Plan.
• Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and update One Month and Three Months Look Ahead Schedule that reflects Priority and Critical Activities.
• Prepare and submit progress reports, including cost and schedule performance, to the project manager.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the project team, including engineers, technicians, and site supervisors.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in MEP planning
• Candidates having GCC region experience are preferred for familiarity with local market conditions.
• Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale planning projects from inception to delivery.
• Proficiency in project management software and scheduling tools.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
