Ascendion - Senior Snowflake Architect - Python (10-15 yrs)

Role :

We are looking for a senior Snowflake professional to join our team and help build scalable, efficient, and secure data solutions.

In this role, you will design and optimise Snowflake-based architectures, work with AWS services, develop robust data pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions using Snowflake.

- Write and optimise complex SQL queries and stored procedures.

- Implement Snowflake objects such as tables, views, streams, tasks, and materialised views.

- Ensure data models and pipelines follow best practices for performance and cost efficiency.

- Apply Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and data governance principles.

- Define access policies to ensure data security and compliance.

- Work with AWS services like AWS Batch, Lambda, AWS Glue, SNS, CloudWatch, S3, and RDS.

- Automate and integrate Snowflake with cloud infrastructure to enable seamless data workflows.

- Use Git CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment.

- Manage code repositories, version control, and production releases.

- Use Python for data transformations, ETL processes, and Snowflake integration.

- Develop scripts for automation, data monitoring, and performance tuning.

- Build and maintain Airflow DAGs (Directed Acyclic Graphs) for scheduling and automation.

- Monitor and optimise workflow performance.

Required Skills :

- 4+ years of experience working with Snowflake in a data engineering role.

- SnowPro Core Certification.

- Expertise in SQL development, including stored procedures and query optimisation.

- Proficiency in AWS services related to data engineering.

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Git) and Agile methodologies (JIRA).

- 4+ years of experience in Python programming for data analytics, or ETL.

- Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow automation.
