Digital Dyeing Ink Development Specialist

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Digital Dyeing Ink Development Specialist to join our R&D team. This role focuses on the formulation, development, and deployment of digital dyeing inks for textile printing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ink chemistry, textile applications, and the integration of inks with digital printers for textile printing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ink Formulation and Development:
• Develop innovative digital dyeing inks tailored for textile printing applications.
• Conduct research on new dye chemistries and raw materials to enhance ink performance.
• Ensure inks meet quality standards, including colour vibrancy, durability, and compatibility with diverse textile substrates.
2. Printer Integration and Deployment:
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate inks with digital textile printers.
• Optimize ink formulations for seamless operation in digital printers.
• Test and validate ink performance across a range of printer models and textile materials.
3. Testing and Quality Control:
• Conduct rigorous testing of inks for properties such as colour fastness, drying time, print resolution, and stability.
• Develop and implement quality control protocols to ensure consistency in production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ink performance during deployment.
4. Research and Innovation:
• Experiment with natural, sustainable and eco-friendly ink formulations.
• Explore opportunities for innovation to address market needs and trends.
5. Collaboration and Documentation:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and marketing, to align ink development with business goals.
• Maintain detailed documentation of ink recipes, processes, and testing results.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Textile Chemistry, Materials Science, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in ink development, digital printing, or textile printing applications.
• Expertise in dye and pigment chemistry for textile applications.
• Familiarity with digital printing technologies and printer mechanics.
