Its approach integrates climate action, ecosystem restoration, resource efficiency, and circular economy, with gender, finance, and traditional knowledge as key themes. Early on, it introduced eco-friendly brick-making technologies, later expanding to fly ash brick enterprises, green building materials, and women-led ventures in the paper, textile, and energy sectors. Partnering with the Green Economy Coalition in 2010, it developed standards for Local Green Enterprises, supporting rural enterprise clusters through the Indian Micro Enterprises Development Foundation (IMEDF). Responsibilities
Program Leadership : Develop programs, identify opportunities, and integrate green economy policies on entrepreneurship, sustainable financing, and community-led enterprises at state and national levels. Oversee program execution, finances, and team management. Build partnerships for program sustainability and growth.
Technical Expertise : Lead new policy research, develop tools and knowledge resources, and make policy recommendations on industrial decarbonization, climate adaptation financing, and skill development. Publish knowledge articles to establish expertise.
Networking : Manage relationships with state departments, financial institutions, and key stakeholders. Build partnerships with private and public sectors and position the organizations work on national and global platforms.
Qualifications
7-12 years in green economy or enterprise development, with experience in policy integration, partnerships, and project management.
Familiarity with government networks, financial institutions, and industry bodies like SIDBI, NABARD, and SRLMs for green financing and support to women-led enterprises.
Proven ability in resource mobilization, project management, and collaboration.
Skills
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Knowledge of climate finance frameworks, research, and documentation skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and online collaboration tools. Fluency in English and Hindi, with travel as needed for projects.
