Policy Development and Analysis: Lead the development and analysis of technology policy positions on critical issues such as AI, cybersecurity, data governance, and emerging technologies.
Research and Reporting: Conduct comprehensive research on emerging technologies and their policy implications. Produce policy briefs, reports, and other documentation to support advocacy efforts.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including legal, communications, and technical experts, to ensure policy positions are informed by a diverse range of perspectives.
Project Management: Oversee and manage policy-related projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery of objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders to immerse, dialogue and curate technology policy decisions.
Advocacy and Representation: Represent the organization in policy discussions, conferences, and public forums. Advocate for the organization s policy positions at the national and international levels.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor s degree in Public Policy, Law, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MPP, JD, MS) preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in technology policy, public policy, government affairs, or a related field. Experience in AI, cybersecurity, or data privacy policy is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of technology policy issues and the legislative/regulatory environment. Proven ability to conduct policy analysis and develop strategic policy recommendations.
Experience working in or with government agencies, industry associations, or advocacy organizations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical issues to non-technical audiences.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Collaborative mindset, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
