Senior expert (Architect) Mechanical

Role & responsibilities

• Leading all the technical aspects of mechanical design and development for the new product development project
• Identifies and selects OTS modules and engages closely with suppliers during development work.
• Makes effort to understand cause-effect relationships ensuring in depth understanding of concepts and issues
• Guides and mentors team members to deliver innovative technical solutions with quality.
• Guides team in mechanical module test plan, test fixtures, testing and analysis of the results
• Mentors team on good engineering practices and delivers quality outcomes and documentations according to QMS process.
• Conducting thorough design reviews; makes Management aware of, and proposes solutions to, unanticipated or potential technical issues/concerns as soon as they are known.
• Guides team on DFMEA, DFM, DFA and DFS and delivers them timely in co-ordination with team members
• Expert in engineering polymers and manufacturing process like Injection moulding
• Plans and delegates technical tasks to team members and owns all the technical deliverables ensuring productivity and timely results.
• Spends time with customers/end-users and constantly invests in an understanding of customer environment.
• Works closely with HW and SW leads providing insights on mechanical development and clarifies cross-functional development supports.
• Resolves personal/team conflicts and project/functional conflicts.
• Ensure compliance with AWAKs quality policies, procedures, and practices
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal, and safety regulations, policies, and procedures
• Maintains issue log in connection with the development and associated project activities
