Power Bi Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Power BI Developer to design and develop business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will transform raw data into meaningful insights by creating interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, publish, and schedule Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and deliver effective data visualization solutions.
• Connect Power BI to various data sources (e.g., SQL Server, Excel, APIs) and ensure data accuracy.
• Create and optimize DAX queries for calculated measures and KPIs.
• Design and implement row-level security (RLS) for data access.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Ensure data compliance and adhere to organizational data governance policies.
• Integrate Power BI with other platforms like Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, or custom applications.
• Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Power BI (2+ years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Power Query, DAX, and data modeling concepts.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and database management.
• Familiarity with data integration tools (e.g., ETL processes).
• Experience with advanced visualization techniques and storytelling with data.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure (Data Factory, Synapse Analytics) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Power BI certification (e.g., DA-100 or PL-300).
• Experience with big data tools or environments.
• Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
