Plant Head, Home Textile

Job Objective and Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Textile Plant Head to oversee our textile manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in textile production processes, quality management, and operational leadership. The Textile Plant Head will be responsible for managing all aspects of the plant, ensuring efficient production, high-quality standards, and a safe working environment.

Role & responsibilities

Production Management:

• Supervise and coordinate all textile production activities, including spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, and finishing.
• Develop production schedules and ensure production targets are met while maintaining optimal efficiency.

Quality Assurance:

• Implement quality control measures to ensure products meet specified standards.
• Monitor production processes and address any quality issues promptly.

Operational Oversight:

• Manage day-to-day operations of the plant, including equipment maintenance, inventory control, and resource allocation.
• Optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity and reduce costs.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor a team of production supervisors, technicians, and support staff.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Promote a safe working environment and enforce HSE policies and procedures.

Strategic Planning:

• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve production goals and business objectives.
• Collaborate with senior management to align plant operations with company strategies.

Supplier and Vendor Management:

• Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and supplies.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to optimize procurement processes.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field; Masters degree preferred.
• Proven experience as a Plant Manager, Production Manager, or similar role in the textile manufacturing industry Pref HOME TEXTILES will be preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of textile production processes, machinery, and quality standards.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate and empower teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
