Key Responsibilities:
- Have strong commit to plant safety procedures and enhance EHS culture.
- Ensure food quality management systems and food safety protocol in place
- Deliver to production output and on-time shipping as per AOP
- Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to sustain and exceed customers’ expectations
- Increase production, sweat assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing costs
- Overall engineering and maintenance performance management within budgeted costs
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
- Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
- Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
- Share a trusted relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff
- Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
- Address employees’ issues or grievances, and identify areas towards employee welfare.
- Develop good rapport with external stake holders and regulatory / statutory authorities.
- Implementation of policies and systems allowing company to meet its commitment to product safety, the safety of operations for employees and protection of the environment.
- Identify newer technology and advancements in fields of plant operations and assess cases of implementation.
- Oversee all brown field projects on the site and liaise with necessary stakeholders for timely and in-cost completion and commissioning.
- Identify opportunities and support manufacturing team through implementation of continuous improvement projects to improve productivity, safety & sanitation and hygiene in the plant.
- Identify, evaluate and implement areas to reduce energy usage at the plant, through both conventional and modern and advanced technology.
- Evaluate training needs and ensure the training calendar is prepared and implemented with the support of necessary stakeholders.
Who are we looking for?
Qualifications:
- B. Tech / B.E (Food Technology / Mechanical / Chemical).
- 10 – 15 years proven work experience from reputed food processing or FMCG companies
Skills:
- Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources).
- Strong ability to work with objectivity, data orientation, transparency and apolitically.
- Strong people management skills and ability to develop and take team along.
- Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
- Good knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes
- Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
- Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
- Deep understanding of statutory & legal requirements for plant utility.
- Project management
- Change management.

- Training of people for effective man-machine coordination for better resource utilization and to ensure safety at work place.
- Effective Coordination of inter-functional activities
