Position Summary:

- You will be leading the overall legal function of the firm including contracts, disputes, land transaction, and customer agreements.

Responsibilities:

- Litigation: Research subject matter including criminal and civil, prepare briefs for senior counsels and court filings apart from providing litigation support in courts.

- Drafting: Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, leases, deeds, and other agreements including Joint Development Agreements.

- Land title due diligence: Independently handle title diligence requirements for various purposes ranging from residential to commercial developments.

- Attend court meetings, hearings, and negotiations on behalf of the company.

- Prepare and present reports on legal activities, risks, and issues to senior management.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience in a reputed law firm a MUST.

- Familiarity with commercial real estate transactions and financing.

- Proficiency in legal research and legal database management.

- Advanced knowledge of property and criminal law.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's in Legislative law.

- Minimum of 4 years of experience in relevant field & industry

- Conversant and fluent in the Kannada language ( Both written & spoken)

- Should have good knowledge of the title diligence and risks in the title of immovable properties

- Should have in-depth knowledge of the Real Estate Laws and Acts.

- Must have experience in initiating/ defending/ managing litigation, with a keen aim at solving cases.

- Should be able to handle both litigation & non-litigation matters
