Job Summary:
- Responsible for the effective and timely resolution of delinquent and chronic cases by executing various legal action(s) in line with the Collection & Litigation policy of the company and in accordance with the provisions of the SARFAESI Act, 2002.
- The Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, The Code of Civil Procedure, 1908, The Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881, The Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007 and The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, Transfer of Property Act etc as amended up to date.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Law graduate from a reputed university, having a minimum experience of 5+ years in managing in-house collection's litigation with good drafting skills.
- A team manager, solution oriented and expert in conflict resolution.
- A team manager, solution-oriented and expert in conflict resolution, who can handle field activities by travelling to locations.
- Must be well versed with MS Office.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership Role:
- Provide Leadership and ensure efficient and effective management of team in the litigation department.
- Communicate and co-ordinate with internal/external stakeholders/departments for quick resolution.
Litigation Management:
- Execute various legal action(s) and liaise with relevant department to ensure that where legal risks/escalations have been identified, appropriate courses of action have been taken on time.
- Review progress of outstanding litigation and coordinate with and manage external associates/law enforcement agencies.
Risk Management:
- Prepare and implement the litigation strategy for execution of various legal action(s) filed by and against the company and support collection team in resolving NPA accounts and/or early bucket high value accounts.
- Maintain accuracy in legal reports and database of cases filed and against the company and ensure timely updates thereof.
- Provide and interpret legal information, conduct training and disseminate appropriate legal requirements to team.
Policy Development:
- Review internal policies and processes periodically and advise management on the amendments in line with prevailing laws.
