Job Description
Work closely with the Engineer Chapter Lead and Product owner to understand the business requirements and develop technology solutions.
- Collaborate with other technology and Business stakeholders and teams to ensure successful work request/Project delivery.
- Follow Software development Framework and Processes to ensure quality deliverables.
- Contribute to engineering communities and provide ongoing support of platforms as required.
- Utilises tools and practices to build, verify and deploy solutions in the most efficient ways, enhancing tech division capabilities.
What will you bring
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- IBM i Software Engineer of 4 to 6 years with expertise in development methodologies and practises, A strong foundation in IBM i series (formerly AS400) is necessary
- Proven working experience and Knowledge on RPG400, RPGLE, CL, CLLE languages and work management concepts in IBM I series
- Proficiency in programming language of RPGLE, ILE RPG and other versions of RPGLE.
- Exposure to SQL400, Embedded SQL, SDA Screen, RDi and XML Concepts
- Identify the best practises and promote technology development culture around reviews, quality, documentation, and implementation
- Working knowledge of Job scheduler, Job monitoring tools like ROBOT would be added advantage
- Experience in using version control tools e.g., THENON
- Broad understanding of Integration Methodologies like MQ, Connect direct and Middle ware components.
- Fair Knowledge on JSON Data handling, API Concepts and Java Spring boot
- Identify compliance risks/issues and determine remediation plans working with tribe leads
- Mentoring - Grow technical skills of the team and Conduct knowledge transfer sessions for the team
