Position - Senior Manager - General Ledger

Main Objectives of this position:

Function and duties:

Areas of responsibility:

For all entities within Area MIN/MAG/MSA & QSC GL:

1. Manage GL sub-function for all entities under control to ensure suitable monitoring mechanism for all tasks as per SOPs

2. Enhance organizational efficiency through processes and systems usage. Facilitate continual improvement in accounting processes to bring out efficiencies within teams and to lead to overall maturity of the sub-function

3. Ensure necessary controls/control environment are in place as well as monitoring thereof for smooth functioning of all accounting processes

4. Provide assurance on monthly reporting to RME for financials and explanations thereon

5. Support management in strategic decision-making by sharing suitable analysis and information

6. Manage budgeting and forecasting process

7. Participate in projects and management initiatives for strategic development

8. Provide support to Managers and Supervisors within QSC GL & Quality audit

9. Controlling Treasury function & managing cash flow

10 Reviewing the BA-Quality function & BA process improvement

Compliances:

1. Manage compliances under Companies Act, LLP act, Income tax act and related legislations for Mumbai QSC

2. Review of admin vendor agreements in support with admin team

Team management:

1. Select, train, develop and motivate the team to ensure best-in-class performance

2. Create plan for back-ups, succession within the team

3. Ensure suitable process in place to track and measure performance of the team(s) and individuals

GL:

- The candidate should be a leader of transactions. We need not focus on strategy/prepare business model/driving process improvements

- He/She should have handled accounting for multiple countries preferably ME countries

- He should have done data reporting to region/HQ

- Responsible for closing books timely

- Adept at multi countries balance sheet reconciliation

- Adequate hands-on knowledge of SAP - should understand the screens and transactions

- He will the SPOC for escalations for multiple countries

- He should be well versed with Indian entity tax norms

- He will drive the QSC audits, hence should have good knowledge of regulatory requirements

- Strong communication skills

- Senior stakeholder management skills required
