Associate Director - General Ledger Accounting (GCC)

- This role is with the GCC of a US based company with interests in workforce solutions and business services. The role will be on US timings.

Key Qualifications:

1. CA and/or MBA from a reputed management institution with 10+ years of accounting experience is preferred.

2. Previous experience working in an MNC or top-tier management consulting organization.

3. Strong knowledge and understanding of finance principles.

4. High technical proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI is preferred.

5. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Workiva, NetSuite, and/or Blackline.

6. Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP.

7. Effective verbal and written communication skills.

8. Strong leadership and critical thinking abilities.

9. Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for ensuring timely financial close and compliance with GAAP and financial reporting standards.

2. Key contributor to operational improvements, financial statement audits, and meeting compliance requirements.

3. Assist in scaling up accounting operations, including documentation, processes, and systems, and help implement, document, and test related controls and policies.

4. Manage the month-end close process, including establishing close calendars, deadlines, and reviewing journal entries.

5. Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.

6. Support interim and annual financial audits with external auditors.

7. Collaborate with departments outside of accounting to ensure the integrity of accounting controls, processes, and procedures.

8. Handle special projects as assigned by management.

9. Participate in the integration of acquired companies.

10. Work with leaders in Finance, Accounting, and Capital Markets, as well as others across the organization, to ensure financials comply with US GAAP.

11. Assist the Controller with cash flow-related tasks.

12. Prepare and review individual account and financial statement line-item variance analyses with management on a monthly basis.
