Job Summary:

The Head of Operations will oversee the company's daily operations, ensuring efficient and effective processes are in place to achieve the company's strategic objectives. This role involves leadership, strategic planning, and operational management to drive productivity, quality, and profitability in the engineering and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning:

- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's goals.

- Collaborate with the executive team to establish long-term objectives and performance targets.

- Identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and innovation within the company.

2. Operational Management:

- Oversee daily operations of the engineering and manufacturing functions.

- Ensure efficient utilization of resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment.

- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational excellence.

3. Quality and Process Improvement:

- Implement and maintain quality control systems to meet industry standards and customer expectations.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

- Utilize lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes.

4. Leadership and Team Development:

- Lead, mentor, and develop the operations management team.

- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

- Conduct performance evaluations and implement training programs to enhance skills and capabilities.

5. Financial Management:

- Develop and manage operational budgets, controlling costs while achieving operational goals.

- Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions to address variances.

- Ensure alignment of operational strategies with financial objectives.

6. Supply Chain and Logistics:

- Oversee supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution.

- Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and products.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.

7. Risk Management and Compliance:

- Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring business continuity.

- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

8. Stakeholder Engagement:

- Communicate operational performance and strategic initiatives to the executive team and board of directors.

- Maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.

- Represent the company in industry forums and events.
