Job Title : Performance Lead (Senior Manager)

Job Location : Pune

Job Overview :

10+ years of experience in defining and ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of proposed solutions for government projects. The role involves analyzing requirements, designing performance strategies, and contributing to RFP responses by addressing all performance-related aspects of the proposed architecture.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Requirements Analysis and Documentation :

- Prepare and document the System Requirement Specifications (SRS) for Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) focusing on performance aspects.

- Finalize the SRS in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.

- Translate business needs into measurable performance requirements such as availability, scalability, elasticity, reliability, and end-to-end response time.

- Review RFP documents to identify and incorporate all performance requirements into the system architecture and test plans.

2. Performance Strategy and Compliance :

- Ensure system performance compliance with NFRs, including but not limited to :

a. Availability : Guarantee high uptime and fault-tolerant architecture.

b. Scalability & Elasticity : Design systems to handle increasing workloads and dynamically scale as required.

c. Reliability : Architect resilient systems to minimize downtime and data loss.

d. Response Time : Optimize system performance to meet target latency thresholds.

- Identify potential performance bottlenecks early in the project lifecycle and recommend corrective actions.

- Define performance KPIs and benchmarks and ensure systems consistently meet or exceed these targets.

3. Performance Testing and Tools Expertise :

- Conduct comprehensive performance testing using industry-standard tools, including but not limited to :

a. Apache JMeter

b. LoadRunner

c. Gatling

d. BlazeMeter

e. WebLOAD

- Perform load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing to validate system performance under varying conditions.

- Analyze test results to identify bottlenecks and areas of improvement.

- Collaborate with development teams to address identified issues and optimize system performance.

4. Test Planning and Execution :

- Develop and maintain detailed performance test plans outlining test scenarios, objectives, and success criteria.

- Execute performance tests across multiple layers of the system, including APIs, databases, and user interfaces.

- Automate performance testing workflows to ensure consistency and reduce manual effort.

5. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement :

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders, to ensure system performance aligns with project goals.

- Provide recommendations for system optimizations based on test results and data-driven insights.

- Facilitate performance reviews with stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of performance outcomes.

6. Monitoring and Reporting :

- Define metrics for performance monitoring and implement tools to continuously track system performance post-deployment.

- Generate detailed performance reports, highlighting system strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.

- Deliver presentations to stakeholders, explaining performance test results and their implications.

Qualifications / Must Skills :

- BE (IT or CS) / B. Tech / MCA

- 10+ years of experience in IT related projects

- 10+ years of experience in IT projects for Govt clients

- Experience in IT projects in Finance sector

- At least 7 years of experience as Performance Lead in large scale IT e-governance projects (More than 100 Cr)

- Hands on experience in performance testing tools such as Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, BlazeMeter, WebLOAD etc

- Should have certification in the area of Performance Testing

- Experience in Multiple large scale e-governance IT projects (More than 100 Cr) in the Finance sector as Performance Lead
