Network Engineer - Routing & Switching (3-12 yrs)

Job Description :

Role : Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have advanced to expert-level knowledge of enterprise networking, particularly in Routing & Switching, and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This hybrid role also involves working on Data Center (20%) and Wireless (10%) technologies, with a focus on advanced troubleshooting and process optimization.

Roles and Responsibilities :

Technical Expertise :

- Possess advanced knowledge and skills in Enterprise Networking (Routing & Switching).

- Collaborate with the Incident Management team to prioritize and address incidents efficiently.

- Join troubleshooting calls with customers and relevant stakeholders to resolve issues promptly.

- Work closely with Project Teams to gather and implement configuration details (hardware and software).

Incident Management :

- Handle and resolve incidents escalated from Tier 1 or customers.

- Accurately assess incident priority and business impact, involving Tier 3 engineers and the Incident Management team for P1 and P2 (high-priority) tickets.

- Conduct thorough reviews of prior actions taken on incidents to ensure proper diagnosis and resolution.

- Collaborate with Tier 3 engineers on complex technical issues.

Change Management :

- Verify change request documents and ensure all pre/post-checks are completed by the Project team.

- Perform alarm suppression during change windows and coordinate with Tier 3 engineers as required.

- Work with TAC (Technical Assistance Center) and BU (Business Unit) for escalated issues until resolution.

Team Collaboration and Leadership :

- Share new process updates or technical advancements with the entire team.

- Take initiative to identify and implement improvements for more efficient business operations.

- Exhibit strong leadership traits, analytical thinking, and assertiveness under pressure.

- Provide exceptional customer service and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning.

Additional Requirements :

- Engage in advanced troubleshooting activities across IP Routing & Switching, Datacenter, and Wireless domains.

- Support organizational goals by actively collaborating with multiple teams and ensuring seamless operations.

Key Qualifications :

- Proven experience in enterprise networking with expertise in Routing & Switching.

- Familiarity with Data Center and Wireless technologies.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with rotational responsibilities.
