SAP ABAP Consultant (3-10 yrs)

Responsibilities :

Requirement Gathering and Analysis :

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

- Conduct thorough gap analysis between existing systems and target solutions.

Design and Development :

- Design and develop innovative ABAP solutions to meet business needs, leveraging best practices and coding standards.

- Develop ABAP reports, interfaces, forms, and enhancements.

- Create custom ABAP objects like Function Modules, Reports, ALVs, and BAPIs.

S/4HANA Migration and Optimization :

- Lead the migration of ABAP code to S/4HANA, ensuring compatibility and performance optimization.

- Identify and resolve migration issues, including code adjustments and data conversion.

Testing and Quality Assurance :

- Conduct unit, integration, and system testing to ensure the quality and accuracy of developed solutions.

- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to identify and resolve defects.

Implementation and Deployment :

- Deploy ABAP solutions into production environments, adhering to change management procedures.

- Provide post-implementation support and maintenance.

Technical Documentation :

- Create clear and concise technical documentation, including design documents, code comments, and user manuals.

Knowledge Sharing and Collaboration :

- Share knowledge and best practices with team members and other stakeholders.

- Collaborate with other technical teams, such as Basis, FICO, and MM, to ensure seamless integration.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Strong proficiency in ABAP programming, including ABAP Objects, OO ABAP, and ABAP CDS.

- In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and its core modules (FI, CO, MM, SD, PP, etc.).

- Experience in ABAP development for S/4HANA, including CDS views, AMDPs, and OData services.

- Experience with any of the following : BODS, MDG, CAP, RAP, UI5, FIORI, and CPI.

- Knowledge of SAP HANA and its database concepts.

- Understanding of SAP best practices and methodologies.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience : 3-10 years of relevant experience in SAP ABAP development.

Certifications : SAP Certified Application Associate - ABAP with SAP HANA or other relevant certifications.
