Snowflake Engineer - Data Build Tool (3-8 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DBT Snowflake Engineer to join our dynamic data engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines using DBT on the Snowflake platform.

You will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into valuable insights that drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using DBT on the Snowflake platform.

- Write efficient and maintainable SQL queries and DBT models.

- Develop and implement data quality checks and validation rules.

- Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment.

- Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues and performance bottlenecks.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data engineering technologies and best practices.

- Contribute to the improvement of data engineering processes and methodologies.

- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.

Required Skills :

- Strong proficiency in SQL with a deep understanding of data warehousing concepts.

- Extensive experience with DBT (Data Build Tool), including model development, testing, and deployment.

- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data loading, warehousing, and query optimization.

- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure.

- Experience with Agile development methodologies.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- A strong passion for data and a desire to learn new technologies.

Desired Skills :

- Experience with data visualization tools (i.e., Tableau, Power BI).

- Experience with Python scripting.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (i.e., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).

- Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks
