Job Title: Director of NOC

Location: Bangalore 

What you will do:

• Strategic Leadership and Transformation
• Lead the transformation of the NOC team into a Production Engineering NOC with an SRE-focused culture.
• Develop and implement strategies to ensure high availability, resiliency, and scalability for all operational environments.
• Operational Excellence
• Ensure 24/7 monitoring and operations of Angel Ones production environments, minimizing downtimes and outages.
• Establish and enforce incident management and escalation procedures for quick resolution and root cause analysis.
• Lead incident and post-incident review sessions, ensuring continuous improvement in incident response.
• Automation and Monitoring
• Drive the adoption of automation across operational tasks, including incident response, monitoring, and alerting.
• Oversee the setup, maintenance, and enhancement of monitoring tools to detect and address issues proactively.
• Implement predictive monitoring for early issue identification and improved system health.
• Collaboration and Communication
• Partner with Engineering, SRE, to support production stability and compliance needs.
• Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clear communication during critical events.
• Align with security teams to implement and maintain strong security practices.
• Team Management and Development
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performance NOC team, setting clear goals and career development plans.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and proactive problem-solving.
• Ensure the team is equipped with necessary tools, training, and processes for efficient and effective performance.
• Metrics and Reporting
• Define, monitor, and report on key performance metrics such as MTTR, MTTD, and uptime.
• Provide regular reports and updates to executive leadership on operational status, incidents, and improvements.
• Utilize data and metrics to inform decision-making and drive operational improvements.

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in network/operations center roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
• Proven experience in transforming traditional NOC functions into an SRE-like, engineering-focused model.
• Strong understanding of monitoring, alerting, automation, and incident management frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with tools like Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, or similar monitoring platforms.
• Demonstrated knowledge of cloud environments (AWS,), network management, and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
