Job Description
- The Chargeback and Rebates Analyst is primarilyresponsible for the accurate, timely processing of chargeback claims, includingall wholesaler resubmissions and credit/debit rebills
- The position is alsoaccountable for the detailed analysis and authentication of all chargebackerrors, including validation of contract membership and pricing, and workingwith various departments on resolution of all discrepancies
- The ChargebackAnalyst is responsible for maintaining effective customer communication withexternal stakeholders, assisting in the analysis and resolution of disputedchargeback claims, supporting A/R Team with minimizing open deduction balances
- The Analyst will also support validation of customer claims related tocommercial rebates, price protection, stock adjustment, failure to supply,service levels and other fees posted by the customers
- The Chargebacks Analystwill report remotely to the Manager of Chargebacks & Membership in Mahwah,NJ in the US
KeyResponsibilities:
- Responsible for dailyvalidation and processing of wholesaler submitted chargeback requests inModel-N.
- Ensure proper creditamounts are issued to avoid future chargeback discrepancies in deduction and eliminatingdownstream impact to other areas of business, including rebates.
- Validation includesanalyzing contracts, and contract pricing to ensure payment is being processedat the proper WAC and indirect contract price following agreement termspolicies.
- Analyze and validateerrors from the chargebacks such as product expired, or product not oncontract.
- Support membership teamin customer contract eligibility and maintenance of membership rosters, 340B/DEA/HINidentifier research.
- Develop and maintainstrong relationships with the wholesalers EDI and chargeback departments.
- Prepare dailyreconciliations of in-bound/out-bound EDI vs Model-N 844 data and in-put/out-paidpaid chargeback credits SAP vs Model-N 849 data.
- Investigate and analyzeerrors from submissions in order to determine possible fixes to eliminatefuture error lines.
- Maintain constantcommunication with A/R department to ensure all chargeback and rebatesdeductions are researched and reconciliations are performed in order to assistin the collection of invalid chargeback deduction claims.
- Knowledge of all activecontracts and keep acquainted with contract amendments.
- Provide analytics andreporting to the team of wholesaler trends, frequency of errors and composeanalytics to management .
- Validate and processprice protection, stock adjustment, failure to supply, service level and otherclaims.
- Assist GTN Team with monthlyand quarterly accruals.
- Responsible for SOP documentationand UAT testing of all new procedures and system updates.
- Seek improvements of thecurrent chargeback validation and reporting process.
- Participate/contribute tospecial projects and AD-HOC requests.
- Address customerinquiries as needed.
Education:
BA/BS or equivalentcombination of education, training and corporate office work expertise.
Prior genericpharmaceutical experience
Experience/RequiredSkills:
- Pharmaceutical experienceup to 3-5 years is preferred, Membership/Chargebacks knowledge is a plus, and/orCommercial Finance.
- Knowledge of Model-N andSAP Business Intelligence experience required
- Working knowledge of MicrosoftOffice with ability to use advanced Excel spreadsheet functions and formulas.Microsoft Access database maintenance and navigation.
- Ability to workindependently with a high sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
- Responsible, punctual andmotivated to go above and beyond.
- Interested candidatesmust possess high ethical standards, strong verbal and written communicationskills, detail oriented with good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to interact withall levels of personnel, including senior management and external customers.
- Excellent interpersonal,ability to comprehend, read/write/communicate fluently in English
- Work on the US time zoneapproximately 6:00 AM 2:00 PM EST, and able to travel to the US for trainingsas required.
