Desktop Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Desktop Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing end-user support, hardware and software troubleshooting, and managing network devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Windows Operating Systems.
• Installing and configuring software, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
• Setting up and managing hardware and networking devices, including switches, routers, and wireless access points.
• Installing and configuring antivirus software and ensuring system security.
• Configuring and troubleshooting email applications, such as Outlook and Outlook Express.
• Managing and maintaining the Local Area Network (LAN).
• Troubleshooting laptops, desktops, and other hardware issues.
• Making prompt decisions to resolve IT-related challenges.

Required Candidate Profile:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot operating systems and networking issues.
• Experience in managing and maintaining LAN networks.
• Hands-on experience with hardware devices such as laptops, desktops, printers, and scanners.
• Knowledge of antivirus installation and configuration.
• Proficiency in setting up and troubleshooting Outlook and other email clients.
• Ability to work independently and make effective decisions under pressure.
