Intensive Care Nurse

Role & responsibilities:

• They provide high acuity care to critically ill patients in intensive care units (ICU's), Cardiothoracic ICUs (CTICUs), or Neurological ICUs (NICUs)
• Assess complex patient needs.
• Administering and monitoring patients.
• Educate patients, families and healthcare teams on critical care and treatment options.
• Administering medications, considering complex dosing and potential interactions.

Qualification:

• Initial 3 years of Nursing Degree
• License: Valid Nursing License and specialized training in Intensive Care Nursing.
• Specialized certification in Intensive Care Nursing. (Usually 2 years)
• Minimum 2+ years of experience as an Intensive Care Nurse.
• Language proficiency: Fluent in German (B2 level or higher) English skills is added advantage.
• Clinical skills: In depth knowledge and skills intensive care nursing including Neurological assessment and management, Cardiac rhythm, ventilation and respiratory care and hemodynamic monitoring and management.
• Ability to analyse the complex situations and make a quick decision.
• Ability to cope with highhigh-stress stress situations.
