Mental Health Nurse

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals with mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and trauma.
• Assess patients' physical and psychological needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in quality assurance initiatives.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and medication management.

Qualifications:

• Completed 3 years of nursing degree.
• License: Valid nursing license with specialized training in mental health nursing (e.g., psychiatric and psychotherapy).
• Additional education in psychiatric nursing, typically 1 to 2 years.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Mental Health Nurse, Psychiatric Nurse, or Behavioral Health Nurse.

Must-have Skills:

• Language proficiency: Fluent in German (B2 level or higher); English skills are an added advantage.
• Clinical skills: In-depth knowledge and skills in mental health nursing, including the assessment and management of mental health conditions.
• Ability to respond to mental health crises, such as suicidal thoughts or psychotic episodes.
