Job Description
The Functional Support Specialist will be responsible for providing expert support and guidance to our Finance team, ensuring the effective use and optimization of the Dynamics 365 Finance Operations platform. This role provides Level 2 service desk support and involves troubleshooting business process and functional issues, security issues, system configuration issues, and collaborating with various stakeholders to resolve incidents and service requests raised and enhance operational efficiency. The role is focused on the Finance side of D365 FO, but the candidate should be familiar with the Operations functionality as well.
Qualifications:
- bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2 - 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Operations in a functional capacity.
- Proven experience with Dynamics 365 Finance Operations, particularly in Finance modules and ability to provide functional support to our user base and Business Process Owner. Knowledge of the Operations modules a plus.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system functionality, user access, and data integrity.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Configure and customize system settings to optimize finance processes.
- Conduct training sessions and create documentation to support end-users.
- Work closely with other IT teams and departments to ensure seamless integration and system performance.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements as needed.
- Understanding of service desk and L2 support processes.
- Stay updated with the latest features and updates of Dynamics 365 Finance Operations.
- Strong understanding of business processes and operational workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across a global team.
- Experience in system configuration and customization.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- The ideal candidate would hold certification in Dynamics 365 Finance Operations.
- The ideal candidate would have knowledge of and/or experience with D365 Finance modules.
