Senior Manager, Software Development Engineering
Egencia is one of the leading corporate travel management companies in the world and part of American Express Global Business Travel. We work with clients around the world to ensure that their employees have a phenomenal experience when they travel for work. We also help companies understand their business travel expenses and fulfill their duty of care.
We are seeking a Senior manager to join our team of experienced software leaders.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of working directly within engineering team experience
- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) new and existing systems experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/ networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and live site operations
- Experience partnering with product and program management teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Lead the team that is responsible for building the horizontal search experience for Egencia
- Communicate with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
