Job Description

This can be additional responsibility
1. **Contract Development and Negotiation**:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and agreements for construction projects.
- Ensure contracts are aligned with company policies, legal standards, and project specifications.
- Negotiate terms with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to achieve favorable terms and conditions.
Key Responsibility:
2. **Contract Administration**:
- Monitor the implementation and performance of contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all parties adhere to contract terms and conditions, including deadlines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Manage contract amendments, variations, and claims, ensuring changes are documented and agreed upon.

3. **Risk Management and Compliance**:
- Identify potential risks related to contracts and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure all contractual obligations are compliant with local laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Monitor insurance and bonding requirements and ensure compliance with contract stipulations.

4. **Dispute Resolution**:
- Handle contract disputes and claims resolution, working closely with legal advisors and senior management.
- Ensure timely and effective resolution of issues, preventing escalation and minimizing legal risks.

5. **Collaboration and Stakeholder Management**:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to ensure contract terms are understood and followed.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and legal advisors.
- Serve as the main point of contact for contractual matters with all stakeholders.

6. **Reporting and Documentation**:
- Maintain accurate records of all contracts, agreements, and related documentation.
- Prepare regular reports on contract status, potential risks, and performance metrics.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on contract-related issues.

- Lead, train, and mentor the contract administration team, ensuring professional growth and development.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively to ensure efficient contract management.
Key Responsibilities:

- **Claims Letter Preparation:*Prepare and submit claims letters for additional costs or time extensions, ensuring all necessary documentation and justifications are included.
- **Compliance Monitoring:*Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and company policies related to contracts.
- **Risk Assessment:*Identify potential risks associated with contracts and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- **Dispute Resolution:*Address and resolve any contractual disputes that arise during the project lifecycle.
- **Documentation:*Maintain accurate records of contracts, Project delays, amendments, claims, and correspondence related to contract management.
- **Collaboration:*Work closely with project teams, legal advisors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on contract terms and expectations.
- **Reporting:*Prepare reports on contract performance and compliance for senior management and stakeholders.
- **Training:*Provide guidance and training to project teams on contractual obligations and best practices.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
1. **Education**:
- Bachelors degree in Law, Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Master s degree in a relevant field (preferred).
- Certification in Contract Management (e.g., CCCM, CPCM) is a plus.
2. **Experience**:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in contract management within the construction industry.
- Extensive knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC, NEC) and procurement processes.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation, administration, and dispute resolution in large-scale construction projects.
3. **Skills**:
- Strong understanding of legal principles related to contracts, construction law, and project management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in contract management software and MS Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously and work under pressure.
4. **Personal Attributes**:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- High level of integrity and commitment to ethical business practices.

**Working Conditions**:
- Full-time position based out of Corporate office.
- Based at the construction site or company headquarters with occasional travel to project sites as needed.
