IT Support Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the schools network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and internet connections.
• Monitor and optimize network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Configure and maintain servers, including file servers, email servers, and cloud-based systems.
• Implement and manage firewalls, antivirus software, and other security protocols.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, laptops, printers, projectors, and other IT hardware.
• Perform regular updates and maintenance of software and operating systems.
• Implement data protection measures and ensure compliance with relevant data security regulations
• Provide timely IT support to teachers, students, and administrative staff for hardware or software issues.
• Train staff and students in using new technologies, tools, and systems effectively.
• Assist teachers in integrating technology into classrooms, such as TVs, tablets, or any other software.
• Maintain an inventory of all IT assets, including hardware and software licenses.
• Manage vendor relationships for IT equipment, software, and services.
• Support the use of communication tools like email systems, collaboration platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Google Workspace), and messaging systems.
• Provide technical support for school events such as webinars, conferences, and presentations.
• Set up and manage audio-visual equipment for assemblies, parent meetings, or performances.
• Plan for future technology needs, including scalability and infrastructure upgrades.
